Short description

Within FrieslandCampina, the Procurement department has a central role for the sourcing of all materials and services required for our products across the globe. Procurement’s role is to contribute to the company’s ambition to be “Winning in the market” by bringing in supplier solutions and knowledge to create sustainable added value for FrieslandCampina: “Win with suppliers”.

Within Procurement, the global category Logistics manages the procurement of all transportation, warehousing, ocean freight, airfreight, pool pallets, clearing, and internal material handling equipment, worldwide. In this international team, there is currently a vacancy for a Category Manager, focused on airfreight, clearing, train and ocean freight.

Deskripsi Pekerjaan

Your key accountabilities are the following:

  • Implementation of global sourcing strategies and suppliers in own subcategories.
  • Built relationships and co-own the performance of key suppliers. Leveraging supplier capabilities beyond the service delivered.
  • Manage internal client relationships with key stakeholders in own subcategories.
  • Support other team members in execution of global sourcing strategies and execute defined projects in their subcategories.
  • Monitor Supply Markets: establish and develop clear cost models, market price analysis overviews, value chain analyses; monitor supply sources and important market trends.
  • Support existing processes for increased safety and sustainability in Logistics and create, manage and coordinate initiatives to improve the category’s safety and environmental and social impact.
  • Prepare tenders and execute sourcing strategy; Manage preparation, plan and execute tenders and negotiations for own subcategories. Proactively adapt sourcing strategies when needed, to ensure that category/business requirements are met.

Requirements:

To be a successful in this position, you are/have:

  • Relevant Bachelor/Master degree.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in a Procurement, Supply Chain or commercial role in a complex international company, preferably in the FMCG or food industry.
  • Experience with Logistics, a genuine interest in sustainability
  • Data processing and calculation-building experience recommended.
  • High level of proactivity, self-starting and dynamic attitude, able to organize and prioritize workload.
  • Commercial interest, seeking to bring industry learnings and supplier capabilities into the company.
  • Relationship builder and strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to work with team, suppliers and stakeholders (internal and external) in an effective and efficient way.
