At our Business Group Dairy Essentials in Amersfoort, The Netherlands, we are temporarily looking for a:

 

Market Segment Manager (temporary until September 1st 2019)

 

For the Butter & Milk Powder B2B business, we are looking for a segment marketing manager to cover maternity leave. In this challenging function you will work in an innovative, challenging and complex environment. You are responsible for the development and implementation of the business strategy and plans for the butter and milk powder markets, based on solid analysis of global market trends, installed production capacity, competitive positioning, stakeholders in the value chain; and by an in-depth understanding of customer needs, added value and product differentiation. Your objective is to lead the implementation of the trading-up strategy and to drive sales and profitable growth.

 

Deskripsi Pekerjaan

Main tasks & responsibilities:   

  • Initiate, manage, participate and lead projects on tactical and strategic level, in a complex business environment.
  • Develop and execute the business strategy.
  • Gather information of the market, competition, customer trends, needs and developments.
  • Develop and deploy value propositions. Develop value propositions for key products, and define price guidance for added value products.
  • Train sales teams in selling the Value Propositions effectively and independently;
  • Develop sales tools that contain presentations, movies and physical promotion materials. 
  • Report trends and industry insights; as marketing manager you are an authoritative manager regarding market knowledge and understanding.
  • Initiate and supervise product development and launches of new product (commercial steering of the R&D team).

Knowledge

  • Master degree. Academic thinking and working level.
  • 7 to 10 years’ working experience, in depth knowledge of the food industry preferred
  • Expertise & knowledge of marketing and sales in an international B2B environment
  • Knowledge of the B2B food industry
  • Proven technical understanding of ingredients performance in food applications

  • Business acumen and commercially aware
  • Pro-active, driven, motivated and self-propelling
  • Planning and organization
  • Being able to switch between helicopter view and critical details
  • Analytical: sees the essentials, systematic approach
  • Quantitative skills, capable of working with financial data
  • Ability to think strategically and tactically, and translate this to operational work
  • Excellent communicator both verbal and written in English
