FrieslandCampina is looking to hire a Product Developer for the R&D Team in Singapore. FrieslandCampina is one of  the world's five largest dairy companies. We supply consumer  products such as dairy-based  beverages, infant & toddler nutrition, cheese and desserts in many European countries and in Asia and Africa. Products such as cream and butter are also supplied to professional customers including bakeries and food-service companies. FrieslandCampina also produces ingredients and half-finished products for manufacturers of infant & toddler nutrition, the food industry and the pharmaceutical sector around the world.

 

Stellenbeschreibung

The Product Development department is responsible for co-creating, initiating and implementing the development of new products, systems, product processes and the improvement of existing ones. Product innovation is part of these development processes.

 

Responsibilities:

To implement innovation, optimization and value engineering projects:

  • Drive and implement product innovations
  • Assess, improve and refine existing product applications
  • Act as team member as well team leader of NPD projects or value engineering projects
  • Setup, plan and execute projects in own area, within the project management guidelines and the R&D and business strategy
  • Responsible for achieving the objectives within the defined timescale
  • Write and manage product specifications

 

To enrich and support product innovation strategy:

  • Identify new commercial and technological developments to generate new opportunities, based on insights and creativity, translate these into projects or building blocks for own area/domain in line with business
  • Provide support and/or act as a team leader for the implementation of the product strategy
  • Be market oriented

 

Advice & Support:

  • Pro-active give advice to implement product optimization
  • Contributing to problem solving, production efficiency, and quality improvement

Requirements:

  • Bachelor or academic degree in food technology, chemistry, food science, dairy science, or any related science  field
  • A minimum  of 5 years working  experience in Product Development. Having past experience in family milk powder, condensed milk product, or relevant technologies with regards to RTD liquid products (pasteurized, UHT, LAD) would be a plus
  • Relevant experience in dairy or other FMCG food industry.
  • Familiarity with validation processes and protocols.
  • Experience in R&D Product Development and/or engineering environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at different levels of complexity
  • Proven project management skills, including having worked both as a team member and  team leader
  • Excellent communication skills on diverse levels in- and outside the company.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written)
