The Manager Development Specialized Nutrition is responsible for ensuring the R&D execution of the Specialized Nutrition strategy and objectives for Asia region by focusing on the following areas,

 

  • Execute and  lead change management innovation strategy
  • Value engineering/procurement support
  • Member of the Leadership and Management Team of development center Singapore
  • Representing R&D in pre-CIT (Category Innovation Team)
  • Relation & knowledge management
  • Human resource management & organisational development
  • Align strategy and budget for regional team

 

Stellenbeschreibung

In this position, you will be responsible for:

1.Roll out & monitor strategy

  • Monitoring and steering of development projects, specifically on portfolio and content meeting action standards, company standards and hurdle rates
  • Translate the overall R&D strategy and department strategy into a year plan/budget and acquire approval
  • Make sure that new product development is in line with market requirements and processing capabilities
  • Ensures technology development in the areas of recipes and ingredients, processing, packaging, nutrition and sensory
  • Implementation of research findings into development projects, and providing clear milestones to research projects relevant to regional strategy
  • Provide knowledge and experience or advice to the region when required (including trouble shooting for supply chain)
  • Ensures the creation of new technological innovations, spot new developments and trends and translate these into practical opportunities for own area/domain

 

2.Relation & Knowledge management

  • Balancing of innovation portfolio on breakthrough vs compete vs renovation
  • Balancing innovation versus value engineering and supply chain support
  • Build and maintain a network of relevant internal and external contacts and organizations nationally as well as internationally.
  • Define knowledge gaps in own department and ensures capability build in own team, as well as the development and exchange of knowledge among professionals within the department

 

3. Human Resource Management & Organizational Development

  • Ensures sufficient resources with the right capabilities and mindset in the team
  • Supports cluster leaders in managing their project portfolio
  • Appraises, coaches and develops employees, and leads talent management process for team
  • Evaluate (work) processes and organizational design, evaluate bottle necks and initiate and implements improvements in processes and organizational design.

 

Requirements:

To be a successful in this position, you are/have:

  • Academic level in Food Dairy Science/Technology
  • 10 years of experience in R&D environment, preferably FMCG
  • Lived and worked abroad
  • Experience in leading teams
  • Experience in managing within matrix organization
