Kurze Stellenbeschreibung

A crucial element to achieve the ambitions in FrieslandCampina’s strategy is to accelerate and increase the impact of innovation. A key factor for acceleration is the increased (re-)use of data in order to further step-up sustainability, maximizing valorization of the milk streams in our factory-/processing-network, optimizing nutritional value of our products whilst maintaining great taste, identify new technologies, etcetera. Building a Dairy Informatics capability is key to achieve this.

The context of (Dairy) Informatics is very complex in many ways:

  • The expertise field of Informatics (computational technologies) is developing at an extremely high pace (Big Data, Advanced Statistics and Data Analytics, First Principle Modeling, Data Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence)
  • It requires the ability to capture-, store-, select-, extract-, integrate-, analyse- and model- data to understand and predict outcome parameters
  • More and more data are becoming available from all parts of the dairy chain (Farm, Supply Chain, R&D, Finance, Commerce, suppliers, competition, society, the environment, …)
  • It requires close collaboration with many stakeholders within our cooperation (farmers, cooperative affairs, supply chain, business groups, ICT, Finance, Product Development)
  • It requires building and maintaining a strong external network, in particular with academia and R&D institutes, but also with (software) suppliers

There is a clear need (and opportunity) to optimize FrieslandCampina’s network and product portfolio using computational technologies which substitute experiments in the material world (requiring raw materials, measurement equipment and manufacturing resources), and to embed said optimizations in business processes and tools.
