The head office is located in Amersfoort, the Netherlands, where approx. 1.200 people are working. For this location, within the Supply Chain department of FrieslandCampina Ingredients, we are looking to hire a:


Result driven, fact based and influencing Demand Consolidation Manager


In this visible and demanding role we challenge you to consolidate, monitor and improve the demand plan for the S&OP Hub Single Ingredients based on the Segment demand plans of Early Life Nutrition, Adult (Performance, Medical and Active Nutrition), Pharma and Animal Nutrition. This demand overview - focused on the tactical horizon (1-18 months) - serves as input for the S&OP process, in order to fulfil the demand at the required service levels in the most (cost) efficient way.


Your goal is to be the linking pin between the Demand management teams in the Segments, Sales & Marketing, Product Group Management and the Hub supply planning team.

You report directly to the S&OP Hub manager Single Ingredients and you are part of a central planning team within the Ingredients Supply Chain Organization.



In this role, your main responsibilities are:

  • First point of contact for the commercial organization for the tactical planning horizon;
  • Consolidate the unconstrained Segment demand plans into the S&OP Hub demand plan as input for the S&OP Hub Supply Network plan (tactical horizon);
  • Communicate, report and follow-up of the decisions/constraints from the Hub S&OP; process to the Segments, coordinate changes in demand in the operational and tactical horizon with the supply network planners;
  • Monitor, analyze, understand and challenge the quality of the Segment demand plans; (assumptions, deltas, trends, issues, gaps, risks, opportunities);
  • Provide KPI dashboards, insights and decision documents at request or at own initiative to support the S&OP Hub and Demand management community;
  • Drive continuous improvement: identify opportunities and improvement actions in demand planning and demand consolidation related (work) processes, planning systematics, procedures and/or systems, and ensure implementation of improvements after approval in the Hub and Segments;
  • Lead and/or support reporting improvement initiatives (MicroStrategy) supporting the processes in Demand management and the S&OP Hub;
  • Understand, apply and maintain S&OP Hub priority rule book (product & customer) based on input from Product Group Management, Sales and/or Segments;
  • Leads and/or participates in (cross functional) projects, in- and outside the hub;
  • Lead the overall Obsoletes stock management process with the Single Ingredients network to reduce off spec stock levels;
  • Support the Lactose S&OP process both in preparation of (pre)S&OP presentation and facilitation of the (pre)S&OP meeting.


  • Master degree within Business Economics, Logistics, Supply Chain or Technical study;
  • Min 2 years’ (hands on) experience in commercial or planning role and preferably in different cultures;
  • Knowledge of principles such as forecasting, S&OP and statistics;
  • Affinity with reporting tools (preferably MicroStrategy and SAP BW);
  • B2B experience and strong project management skills;
  • SAP APO experience is a benefit;
  • Furthermore you are recognized for your proactive approach and strong drive for continuous improvement and customer satisfaction;
  • You have strong stakeholder management & sparring partner skills and communicate easily on different levels of the organization.
