FrieslandCampina is one of the largest dairy companies worldwide with leading brands in Belgium like Campina, Cécémel, Fristi and Nutroma.

At FrieslandCampina Consumer Dairy Belgium & Luxemburg we are looking for a Customer Insights Manager for our commercial headquarters in Ghent (Destelbergen).

Within the Marketing team the Customer Insights Manager will contribute to the growth of Friesland Campina’s key brands at our customers, by advocating fact based decision making through development of customer and shopper insights. This by taking the lead in quantitative & qualitative analysis based on market data (like Nielsen and GfK), customer scan data , as well as on ad hoc market research (eg shopper studies) for both retail as out of home. The Customer Insight Manager reports within the insights team and will work in close collaboration with the Consumer Insights Manager.

 

Therefore he/she will:

  • Analyse performance of the market, our customers, products, competitors and promotions leading to clear, actionable customer insight & recommendations for further growth.
  • Be responsible for the evaluation of activations & promotions at different customers and channels; leading to clear recommendations
  • Set-up/track a clear set of KPI’s to closely monitor our business performance
  • Support business processes like Strategic plan, Annual budget, monthly business reviews, etc. by identifying key trends, drivers and barriers.
  • Set-up & analyse ad hoc market research (in collaboration with market research agencies) answering specific business questions eg shopper study.

  • Thinks & works with strong commercial mindset
  • Good communication skills, including written and presentation skills.
  • Master degree, with 3-5 years’ experience in market intelligence, preferably in FMCG.
  • Bilingual (NL/FR) and good knowledge of English (verbal/written).
  • Experience in supporting the business with fact based decision making and in depth quantitative analysis, preferably also on strategic level.
  • Advanced data analysis skills with the capacity to translate data into usable and understandable insights, conclusions and recommendations.
  • Knowledge of Nielsen and GfK household panel data is a plus.
  • Background in OOH channels is a plus
